Dressed as young royals, Vilseck Elementary kindergarteners gather for the start of the Royal Tea, a PTSA-hosted event recognizing their achievement in learning to write their names.

VILSECK, Germany — Kindergarten students at Vilseck Elementary School recently enjoyed a celebration fit for royalty as they marked a major milestone in their learning journey: mastering the art of writing their names.

The Royal Tea, sponsored by the VES PTSA, transformed the classroom into a kingdom of letters where young writers were honored for their hard work and dedication. Students arrived dressed in regal attire, complete with crowns and gowns, and were greeted by the king in recognition of their achievement.

In collaboration with the Lord of Letters from the Noble Name Kingdom, the PTSA hosted a tea party that blended fun with accomplishment. The event highlighted the importance of early literacy while showing students that learning can be joyful and memorable.

The kindergarten team — Ms. Deverick, Ms. Gideon and Ms. Sousa — guided their students through the journey of name-writing mastery. Their creativity and encouragement helped turn this milestone into a celebration students will remember.

The Royal Tea was more than just a party; it was a community effort that showcased the partnership between teachers, families and the PTSA. Together, they created an experience that honored student success and emphasized that every step in learning deserves to be celebrated.
