The Sherwood Hoodies shine bright at Vilseck Elementary

At Vilseck Elementary School, students in grades two through five recently brought energy, humor and creativity to the stage in their performance of Robin and the Sherwood Hoodies.

Led by music teacher Ms. Luke and supported by fourth-grade teacher Ms. Bull, the production highlighted the students’ hard work and enthusiasm through lively singing, dancing and acting.

The play featured a talented cast of young performers who embraced their roles with confidence and excitement. Mavrick took on the heroic role of Robin Hood, while Mia portrayed the kind and clever Maid Marion. Max brought humor and strength to the role of Big/Little John, and Penny charmed the audience as Friar Tuck. Gabee played the mischievous Sheriff of Nottingham, creating plenty of dramatic tension, while Hannah stepped into the role of Prince John with flair.

Guiding the audience through the story was the narrator, Jesus, whose clear and expressive storytelling helped tie the scenes together and keep the performance flowing smoothly. Both Jade and Jesus shared they were nervous at first, but stepping onto the stage and using their voices helped them grow in confidence and bravery.

Throughout the show, students showcased not only their acting skills but also their musical talents. Songs were performed with enthusiasm, and the choreography added an extra layer of excitement that kept the audience engaged from beginning to end. 

The collaboration between students of different grade levels created a strong sense of teamwork and community.

Under Ms. Luke’s direction, and with the support of Ms. Bull, the production was a wonderful success. It provided students with an opportunity to build confidence, express creativity and experience the joy of performing on stage. 

The audience left entertained and impressed by the dedication and talent of these young performers.
