What's Roaring this week?

Lion Families:

What an incredible week we've had celebrating Read Across America Week! Our festivities kicked off with a thrilling mystery masked reader assembly that left everyone guessing and excited about the joy of reading. The enthusiasm and curiosity in the air were truly contagious!

Throughout the week, our students showed their school spirit with fun and creative themed days:

  • Tuesday: Crazy Hat Day – Our hallways were filled with the most imaginative and colorful hats, showcasing the creativity of our students.

  • Wednesday: Wild and Wacky Wednesday – It was a day of fun and laughter as students and staff alike embraced their wild and wacky sides with mismatched outfits and crazy hairstyles.

  • Thursday: Throwback Thursday – A nostalgic journey through time as everyone dressed up in outfits from their favorite decades, bringing history to life in a fun and engaging way.

  • Friday: Favorite Outfit Friday – Students wore their favorite outfits, expressing their unique personalities and styles.

We were honored to have special guest readers from the Vilseck High School JROTC program. Their presence and the stories they shared were truly inspiring, highlighting the importance of reading and community service. Our students were captivated by their readings and the dedication they demonstrated.

Additionally, our story walk along the fence was a delightful way for students to engage with literature in a unique and interactive setting. It was wonderful to see students walking along the fence, reading and discussing the stories displayed, fostering a love for reading in a fun and active way.

I want to extend a heartfelt thank you to everyone who participated and contributed to making this week so memorable. Your enthusiasm and support have made a significant impact on our students, encouraging them to embrace the joy of reading. Let's continue to foster a love for reading every day, as it opens doors to endless possibilities and adventures.
